Information and Communication Technologies have revolutionized the lives of 21st century mankind. Our lives are rocked by digitalization which has changed the facade of our existence. The very notion of ICTs brings to our mind speed, easy retrieval of data, great storage capacity and above all less cumbersome and user friendly gadgets. The infiltration of ICTs in education has brought in quick and accurate dissemination of information thereby enhancing the success of the information society. However, the increased use of ICTs has its negative implications on our well being too: it drives poor eyesight, weak memory retention capacity, physical and psychological stress, improper mathematical skills, faint nervous system and physiological functional disorder. The seminar calls for introspection, scrutiny, suitable remedies and alternatives to digitalization of education.
